Amy Phimister to Read Poetry at UUFDC’s Dickinson Poetry Series

by Alyssa Davis

Amy Phimister will read her poetry on March 12 at 7 pm as part of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County’s (UUFDC) Dickinson Poetry Series.

The free event will take place at the UUFDC, located at 10341 Water St. (State Highway 42) in Ephraim. Following the reading, there will be an open mic session and refreshments.

Originally from De Pere, Wisconsin, Phimister now resides in Sturgeon Bay. She retired in 2014 and moved to family property after holding corporate management roles across various states.

Phimister is an active member of the Belles Lettre poetry group, the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, and the Door County Poets Collective. In addition to her poetry, she co-wrote a children’s book, ABC the Animals, with her cousin Christine Degeneffe serving as the illustrator.

The Dickinson Poetry Series hosts readings on the second Wednesday of each month.
