Ojai Poetry Series to Feature Poet Laureate Mary Ann McFadden on March 18

Ventura County Poet Laureate Mary Ann McFadden will be the featured reader at the Ojai Poetry Series on Tuesday, March 18. The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Ojai Library, located at 111 E. Ojai Ave.

A Poet with Deep Local Roots

McFadden was raised on a citrus ranch in Fillmore and has strong ties to Ventura County. Over the years, she has lived in Ojai, Seattle, New York City, and Mexico before eventually returning to the United States. Today, she resides once again on a citrus ranch in Fillmore, where she continues to write and share her poetry.

A Celebrated Voice in Poetry

McFadden has earned multiple poetry awards and has published two books of poetry. Her work has been featured at poetry readings in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura, making her a respected figure in the literary community.

Her upcoming reading at the Ojai Poetry Series will give audiences the opportunity to hear her celebrated work and experience her deep connection to place and language.
