The Meredith Public Library will host New Hampshire Poet Laureate Jennifer Militello on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. as part of the National Novel Writing Month Fall Writing Workshop.
Militello aims to inspire writers across various genres by sharing her own writing journey, which includes her experiences from finding inspiration to achieving publication and gaining statewide recognition for her poetry.
She is the author of the upcoming hybrid collection titled Identifying the Pathogen and has been named a finalist for the 2024 FC2 Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Prize. Her previous works include The Pact, the memoir Knock Wood, and four poetry collections.
Militello’s poetry has been featured in prominent publications such as Best American Poetry, Best New Poets, American Poetry Review, The Nation, The New Republic, The Paris Review, Poetry, Poetry London, and The Poetry Review (UK).
In addition to her writing, Militello has taught at several institutions, including Brown University, the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and the Rhode Island School of Design. She currently teaches in the MFA program at New England College.
