Katara Hosts Poetry Reading Session Featuring Gulf Poetesses

The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, recently hosted a poetry reading session that brought together notable Gulf poetesses.

The event featured Badriya Al-Badri, Dr. Noura Al Wahmid, and Moza Abdul Rahman Al-Misnad. Journalist Ishraf Bin Murad moderated the session.

The session attracted a large audience of poetry and literature enthusiasts. The poetesses presented a range of poems touching on themes such as patriotism, wisdom, description, and elegy.

Their works stood out for their deep exploration of human and social themes, drawing inspiration from the Gulf’s rich culture and environment.

Omani poetess Badriya Al-Badri, in particular, shared several poems expressing her love for Qatar. Her works, which included both classical and Nabati poetry, highlighted her mastery of language and the beauty of her meanings.
