Explore Language and Creativity with Liz Berry’s Poetry Workshop at Hereford Cathedral

by Alyssa Davis

Award-winning poet Liz Berry will lead a special poetry workshop, “Heartwhole, Litsome, Clandestical,” at Hereford Cathedral on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

The workshop is part of the cathedral’s “Life and Learning” programme and will focus on the beauty and power of language. Participants will engage in shared reading and writing exercises designed to inspire creativity and exploration.

The event is open to writers of all skill levels, from experienced poets to complete beginners.

Jennifer Dumbelton, librarian at Hereford Cathedral, expressed her enthusiasm for the event.

“I’m very excited to welcome Liz to the cathedral library for this workshop,” Dumbelton said. “Her work around language is a perfect fit for some of the local books we hold in our collection, and it’s brilliant to see them used in this way.”

Tickets for the workshop are priced at £25 and can be purchased through the Hereford Cathedral website. With limited spaces available, early booking is recommended.
