In celebration of Holi, the Agarwal Samaj Federation organized the National Hindi Humorist Poet Conference, ‘Hasya Ganga’, at the Balgandharva Rangmandir in Pune. The event featured renowned poets from across the country, who entertained the audience with satirical poetry addressing societal issues, the negative impacts of social media, and politics. The three-hour session was filled with humor, leaving attendees in fits of laughter.
Honors and New Appointments
During the conference, social worker Pawan Saraf and his wife Anju Pawan Saraf were honored with the prestigious ‘Samaj Bhushan’ award. Additionally, Vidya Devi Agarwal was elected as a core committee member of the federation.
Key figures from the Agarwal Samaj Federation were present at the event, including President Krishnakumar Goyal, Vice President Vinod Bansal, Secretary CA KL Bansal, Treasurer Shyam Goyal, and Core Committee Members Nandlal Gupta, MB Agarwal, Nitin Agarwal, Manoj Agarwal, Vidya Devi Agarwal, and Vinod Mittal. Women’s Committee President Neeta Agarwal, Golden Club President Jaikishan Goyal, Youth Cell President Vikas Garg, along with famous poets and stage directors such as Dwarka Prasad Jalan, Dilip Sharma, Sanjay Bansal, Sudeep Bhola, and Buddhi Prakash Dadhich, were also present to grace the stage.
The Programme
The event began with the traditional Saraswati Vandana. Poet Sanjay Bansal kicked off the evening with a poem highlighting the contributions of the Agarwal community in a humorous light. Dilip Sharma followed with a political satire that shed light on the current state of society. Poet Sudeep Bhola from Delhi then presented a heartfelt poem dedicated to Agrasen Maharaj, and the event concluded with an impressive performance by Buddhi Prakash Dadhich from Rajasthan, leaving the audience deeply moved.
