TV stand-up comedian and impressionist Alistair McGowan is set to perform in Bretforton, offering an evening that blends comedy with his debut collection of poetry.
McGowan, known for his sharp wit and spot-on impressions, will present his poetry collection titled Not What We Were Expecting alongside his signature comedic act. The event promises a mix of humor and unexpected sensitivity.
Actress Joanna Lumley praised McGowan’s work, noting it as “All the wit you’d expect and yearn for but with a really surprising and delicious sensitivity.” Actor Simon Callow also commended McGowan, describing his performance as “Observant. Wry. Masterly.”
