DHUBRI: The Gadadhar Kabi Chakra recently held a magazine launch and poetry recitation event at the Dhubri Middle English School auditorium. The ceremony was led by Sarbeshwar Barkalita Deb, president of the Gadadhar Kabi Chakra, with Zakir Hussain, the magazine’s editor, explaining the event’s purpose.
The event saw participation from forty poets across the Dhubri district, who delivered engaging poetry performances that captivated the audience. The highlight was the launch of the 102nd issue of the magazine “Gadadhar,” edited by Zakir Hussain. Renowned litterateur Abu Hasan Sheikh released the issue and encouraged poets to contribute to the magazine to enhance its quality.
Amjad Hussain Mazumdar, former president of the Dhubri District Employees’ Union, also addressed the gathering. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Zakir Hussain.
