In 1993, she was a finalist for the National Book Award and in 2016 for the Poets’ Prize. Gibson also edited the anthology Waking Up to the Earth: Connecticut Poets in a Time of Global Climate Crisis, with a grant from the Academy of American Poets. She resides in Preston, CT, where her poetry often reflects the natural world, including ponds, cedar trees, and local wildlife.
