Colorado Springs Poetry Slam

The power of words is undeniable, and the Colorado Springs Poetry Slam provides the perfect platform to make yours heard. Held monthly, this event is open to everyone, offering a space to share personal thoughts and stories through spoken word.

The Poetry Slam, founded and hosted by Arthur Bellfield, is more than just a competition—it’s a welcoming community where individuals can express themselves and be truly heard. Recently, Bellfield shared a poem and extended an invitation to the public to attend the next event during an appearance on Loving Living Local with Krista Witiak.

The Colorado Springs Poetry Slam takes place on the first Friday of each month at 8 p.m. at Ultra Flat Black Gallery in Old Colorado City. The event features a competitive format, consisting of three rounds judged by five judges in front of a live audience.
