The International Youth Development Foundation (IYDF) joined forces with the Amritsar Foundation to provide crucial support to orphans and disadvantaged children in Amritsar, India. The event, held at the Pingalwara Orphanage, included the distribution of essential supplies and a poetry competition aimed at uplifting and inspiring the children. Volunteers left with meaningful and reflective experiences.
Led by Gurinder Singh and a team of nine volunteers, the initiative supported 30 children from the Bhagat Puran Singh Adarsh School and Orphanage. The volunteers distributed aid kits containing notebooks, pens, snacks, hygiene products, and recreational items like badminton rackets. These supplies brought joy to the children, reminding them that they are not alone and encouraging hope for a better future.
In addition to the aid, the event featured a poetry recital competition. The children showcased their talents and shared their dreams, creating an atmosphere of optimism and creativity.
After the event, Gurinder Singh expressed his gratitude, highlighting the profound impact of small acts of kindness in shaping society. The volunteers echoed these sentiments, leaving the event inspired and humbled by the experience. The day concluded with a meal at Crystal Restaurant, where the group discussed future plans for continuing their efforts to support vulnerable communities worldwide.
