A new cultural event will take place in Fondi on September 22nd, curated by the Latilla Brothers.
The event, titled “Memento Mori: Poetic Concert on the Laudi of Gabriele D’Annunzio,” starts at 7:00 pm at the Mola della Corte – Settecannelle Capodacqua Natural Monument.
This experimental recital combines poetry and music in a seamless visual and auditory experience. Francesco and Gianmarco Latilla will present a unique performance that brings D’Annunzio’s “Laudi” to life. Francesco Latilla will deliver the stage readings, accompanied by Gianluca De Rubertis, a noted singer-songwriter and musician from Lecce. De Rubertis, known for his work with Il Genio and collaborations with artists like Morgan and Amanda Lear, will add a musical dimension to the recital.
The concert will explore the spiritual, mystical, and rural aspects of D’Annunzio’s poetry. The performance will evoke the interplay between fire and water, and between the celestial and the earthly. Through this fusion, Francesco Latilla and Gianluca De Rubertis will create a vivid portrayal of cosmic and natural imagery.
The event is directed by the Latilla Brothers and supported by the Aurunci Mountains Natural Park, with significant input from its director, Giorgio De Marchis. The Municipality of Fondi sponsors the event, which is organized by Koine’ APS in collaboration with SOC. Coop. Foglia d’oro ONLUS and La Cinearte Produzioni.
This poetry concert will conclude the summer events cycle for the Parco Naturale dei Monti Aurunci. Following the performance, there will be a tasting of local products. Admission is free.
