The 127th Urs of the celebrated Sufi poet Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Farid began Wednesday in Kot Mithan, Rajanpur district. Devotees from all over the country are attending the celebrations, which started on 5th Rabi’ul-Thani.
Deputy Commissioner Shafqatullah held a meeting to review the arrangements for the pilgrims. The district administration instructed the health department to set up medical camps. They also directed MAPCO to ensure there is no load shedding during the Urs.
The Municipal Committee is responsible for maintaining sanitation, providing clean drinking water, and ensuring proper food hygiene at the stalls.
Civil Defence is implementing strict security measures, including searches at Darbar Farid. Traffic police have been deployed to manage parking and ensure smooth traffic flow during the event.
Key officials from Rescue 1122, police, public health, and other departments are working together to ensure the comfort and safety of all attendees.
