The Washington State Poet Laureate program is now accepting nominations for the 2025-27 Poet Laureate. This initiative is a partnership between the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) and Humanities Washington.
Nominations can be submitted by individuals themselves, and self-nominations are both accepted and encouraged.
The Poet Laureate receives significant support, including an annual honorarium of $40,000, travel and project expenses, and administrative assistance from ArtsWA and Humanities Washington.
The term for the Laureate is two years but can be renewed in rare cases.
Important Deadline: Nominations must be submitted by Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
