An evening of poetry is set for Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 7:00 PM. The event will feature poets Mary Bonina and Mark Pawlak.
John Skoyles, editor of Ploughshares, describes Bonina’s work in Clear Eye Tea as a celebration of everyday life. He notes that her poems touch on familiar moments, such as a father returning from work and family members growing frail, adding a miraculous quality to the ordinary.
