Poetry enthusiasts are in for a treat this evening, October 22, as Taste Full Beans hosts a double book launch featuring two notable local poets. The event will spotlight the release of “Sammy & Lucy & Petey & Stella Animal Tales,” the first poetry collection by Hickory native Michael Shoneberg. This collection promises to bring a unique perspective on storytelling through verse.
Joining Shoneberg is Scott Owens, who will unveil his 22nd poetry collection, “eventually haiku.” Owens is a well-respected figure in the poetry community, known for his ability to capture the essence of everyday life in his concise haiku form.
The launch event will kick off at 6:15 p.m. at Taste Full Beans, located at 29 2nd Street NW in Hickory.
