Auburn’s monthly poetry event, “Poetry at the Postmark,” will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Postmark Center for the Arts.

Current Poet Laureate Mateo Acuña and former Poet Laureate James Rodgers will host the evening. The event will feature a poetry reading followed by an open mic session, giving community members the opportunity to share their work.

Attendees can arrive at 6 p.m. to view the Postmark Center’s latest art exhibition before the readings begin, blending art and literature in a unique experience.

This community gathering, held on the first Wednesday of each month, has become a vital platform for Auburn’s poets and poetry fans. It offers both established and emerging voices a chance to perform.

The City of Auburn and Auburn Avenue Poets invite everyone to attend, whether as performers or audience members. For updates about the event, check the Auburn Avenue Poets and City of Auburn Arts and Events Facebook pages.

The November 6 event promises to be an engaging experience for all poetry enthusiasts in Auburn.
