The Poetry Exchange Group at the Locust Valley Library will host its next meeting on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM. This month’s guest poet is Patti Tana, a celebrated poet and Professor Emerita at Nassau Community College (SUNY). Tana was honored as the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association’s Poet of the Year in 2009.
The Poetry Exchange Group meets on the first Saturday of each month in the Community Room at the library.
The group aims to bring together poets to share their work in a supportive environment. It encourages participation from poets of all skill levels. Anyone who enjoys listening to poetry or wishes to share a favorite poem is also welcome. The group believes that poetry can help create a better world.
